An Eau'd to New York: Bodega Flowers

An Eau'd to New York: Bodega Flowers

$225.00

After a period of near complete isolation, New Yorkers are emerging from their apartments to rediscover and celebrate the unique DNA for the city they call home. The smells, flavors, and sensations to which they were once desensitized, become new once again. As a collaborative reflection on this experience, wax sculptor Janie Korn and perfumer Marissa Zappas have joined forces to create a scented candle that captures one of the most evocative olfactive landscapes of New York City. Bodega Flowers, an ode to the enticing rainbow assortment of blossoms lining mini markets and bodegas in New York City, is a stunning mish mash of various flowers, in hues of pinks and yellows, ripening bananas and refrigerators full of fruit. It’s at once floral, fresh, metallic, fruity and cold, offering an oasis of air conditioning on a hot, summer day.

Notes:

Top: wafting cold refrigerator

Mid: gerbera flowers, dried fruit, ripe banana
Base: tarnished coins
